Sunday June 3rd

CcToronto joined the crew for breakfast at the Casino.

On the way to the breakfast venue, MrElbe's ABS on his R129 300SL light came on steady accompanied with a loss of power. I seriously considered returning home and switching to the S500 backup vehicle. Decided to take a chance at least to Topnob's location. The Economy gauge was also not working. I had no 4th gear, tranny shifted from 3rd right into 5th. So on some hills I had to manually shift into 3rd. Also soft top would not lower or raise without clearing a code first.
Made it to TopNob's and on a whim I decided to switch from the brand new OVP relay which I just installed three days ago, to the old original one which I had on board.
Voila! that was the magic cure. All systems went back to normal operation and I am a happy camper.

Nobby and MrElbe had the top down briefly between periods of sometimes heavy rain. Gerkebi even had his sun roof open. We made it safely to the Super 8 in Quebec city.
 

Monday June 4th

Walked in old town of Quebec city. After that, Gerkebi departed back to Ohio. WE then drove to Moncton NB.

Tuesday June 5th

Drove the Cabot Trail. Great scenery but some terrible road sections. Embarked in North Sydney, NS on the ferry to Newfoundland.
